the best bites this month

San Francisco

Starting the month off strong with Roaming Goat in Cow Hollow! Since it was SF Restaurant Week, we had to
take the chance to try somewhere new. Roaming Goat was the perfect spot for a little “girl dinner” with
shareable bites and wine flights! The food quality and variety were great, but the best part? The prices were reasonable!

Los Gatos/Santa Cruz

Located in the Los Gatos/Santa Cruz mountains just off Highway 17, Regale was the perfect sunny Sunday activity! We shared
their cheese board and all got wine flights. A lot of places only give you two or three cheeses, but this board was stacked
with a great variety of meats and cheeses. They’ve also got pizzas on the menu, but you can bring your own
picnic lunch too, which is such a nice touch. Overall, super relaxed vibes!

San Jose

I'd been hearing about Rollati since they opened but hadn’t gotten around to trying it, especially since I’d heard some mixed reviews.
Overall, the food was good, but I’m not in a rush to go back. The pizza was delicious, but the vodka pasta didn’t really impress us.
I would definitely return for the restaurant’s vibe, especially on a sunny day for happy hour!

San Jose

We visited Goodtime on a Friday afternoon, and it was the perfect way to kick off the evening and catch up with a friend!
The tuna tostada was a delicious light bite, with a layer of mango underneath that was so good.
Overall, a great spot to listen to music and hang out with friends.

Santa Cruz

Looking for a grab-and-go taqueria in Santa Cruz to enjoy by the beach? Mijo’s should always be your go-to!
Don’t leave without trying their food with Mijo’s green salsa, it’s a must. My family and I have been coming here for years
and still make the 30–40 minute drive just for their food. So worth it!

Santa Clara

We were lucky enough to try Joey during opening week, and we had a great experience! If Joey stands for anything,
it’s definitely happy hour. They have some amazing deals, and they’re open late, which is a big plus. I could go on and
on about Joey, but it’s a must-try in the Santa Clara area. Special shoutout to the best server ever, Camille!

Aptos

This was my second time at Mentone, and it was the perfect way to change the pace of my meals . It really adds something
special and unique to the Aptos area. Definitely recommend making a reservation & grabbing a drink with friends. The apps
are some of the best, & the interior is so thoughtfully designed.

Palo Alto

Telefèric has plenty of locations in the Bay, but two of us managed to snag a last minute reservation just 20 minutes ahead
for a little afternoon appetizer & drink on a Saturday. If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a big fan of a drink and app, or as my friends
and I like to call it, "girl-dinner."

Santa Cruz

Normally in the Santa Cruz area, I recommend the classic coffee spots like Verve and Cat & Cloud. Both totally deserve the hype
and are undeniably good. But, I think 11th Hour might be my new recommendation. We
visited their Westside location
and had so much fun exploring the shops while waiting for our coffee. We ordered a lavender latte, and it was so well-crafted,
plus they have a great variety of food options to check out too.

Aptos

We only stopped by Venus for happy hour, but their cocktails were something special. They distill their own spirits locally in Santa Cruz,
which makes it even more unique. It was the perfect way to get out of the house and celebrate the weekend with friends
during Easter. If you're ever in the area and need a little cocktail break, especially this upcoming summer, definitely stop by Venus!
